All These Subjects Are Confusing Me Now... *OH PRETTY: BANG BANG*

Well, I still don't know exactly what subjects I'll be taking this year. Even after the rather confusingly simple enrollment I had. I definitely have AS English Language, AS French & AS Politics. I'll be doing AS History Modern if AS Classics isn't going ahead. That's the straightforward bit. Now here's the crazy part: They said I may be able to do GCSE or AS Spanish, which was fine by me. When I asked the lady organising my subjects, she said the Spanish teacher had gone home, so she got the dude that interviewed me last time. They then agreed to stick me on IB Standard Level Spanish. What the hell? This is going to be one crazy year!
Sunday we went to Brighton for the day. I got a new outfit!

And yesterday, we went to Detling's Military Odyssey. We were a bit late in, but I managed to get bits for my Grandpa, and finally shoot, after over a year of being unable to.

If We Drive Past A Mercedes...

BRAKE LIKE YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT! Yeah. Well today, we went to Herstmonceux Medieval Festival at Herstmonceux Castle. It lashed it down, but I was clever enough to tuck my jeans in my new boots, so I didn't have soggy jeans! Well, it was quite interesting, and there was a lot of 'Oooh Shiny!' that I wanted but couldn't afford. I now have a rainbow sand dinosaur, and my face painted as peacock feathers. I did have a bracelet too, but it seems to have fallen off. As for the story of braking at EVERY Mercedes, don't ask. There were a hell of a lot of Merks in and around Herstmonceux today, we would've got nowhere!

My Size 3 Vintage Riding Boots!

Yes, my feet are tiny, and to any Americans or Europeans reading this who can't convert shoe sizes, I believe it's US 5 and EU 35.5 if it's any help! So basically, they're tiny feet!
Well, they'll need new laces, but I love these boots. They're proper leather old-fashioned riding boots, and they smell lush! I'll mainly be wearing them in winter, but I'm enjoying them a lot right now! They're a bit annoying to get on and off, but they do look incredibly gorgeous!
Nothing much else has happened, I've mainly been working or listening to my iPod, or walking Peter, so there hasn't been a huge amount to blog about. Sorry!

A Nearly Normal Week!

Hurrah! I've had a virtually plain old week!
I've worked everyday since Sunday at Oxfam, so I'm taking a day off today. I had a small panic attack last night,so needed the rest. For the most part, I've been enjoying myself by dating old coins and war medals, and learning the hallmarks. I also bought the 1968 rare and vintage Terra Sanctum medallion from Israel that I'd priced for the shop. I really should've got a photo of it, as I only found three pictures out of 37 pages on Google Images!
Yesterday, I had a call from my mum. It turns out Exeter College had sent me a letter. So mum opened it for me, and it turned out to be a couple of results. Apparently, I have a grade B in AS Level English Language, and a grade D in my AS French. Forget the French, it was pretty crap, but this means I might be able to do A2 English Language next year! Awesome really, considering I didn't do any exams! My Spanish teacher pulled me from Spanish, and Classics was 100% exam-based, but I still have a grade B in English! YEAH! Plus my college interview is on the 28th August, so I'm really excited right now!
Last night we went out to the amusement arcades down town, which was good fun. Except for the fact some boys decided to pop a lot of packets or balloons or something, and I freaked. No more Hello Kitty toys, and I didn't win Shaun The Sheep either. It was a good night out though, after taking Peter for a nice little walk up Fairlight!

Work Hard & Play Hard!

Well, my first day of work was pretty awesome actually! They're all really awesome and nice people, if not a little crazy, and I had a fantastic day! Okay, so I only hoovered the shop floor, and hung clothes up, but you've got to start somewhere! I was a bit tired, and had the start of a migraine when I left, but then I was going to a barbecue at Jen and Seb's, so I just took a painkiller and got on with it!
So yeah, we went along, and I made a friend called Jo, and had some stuff to eat. Then me and Jo went to the kitchen, and a chocolate fight broke out! Absolutely fantastic! When we went to show the adults in the garden, the promptly sprayed us with water, and the Jo decided to throw the bowl of water at me! Good times!

Today at work was also awesome! I made even more friends, and helped out with the window display, hung up more clothes, and put up a display rail! I'm actually really beginning to enjoy life here! Bring on college!

Amber Has A Job!

You heard right: I have a job!
It's only a volunteer job at Oxfam, but you have to start somewhere! Today I went round and handed in my CV to local shops and restaurants to try and find a job to earn some pocket money. They all took a CV, but when I asked about the volunteer job in Oxfam, I filled out the form there, and she asked when I could start. I said 'Whenever' and she was like 'See you tomorrow at 11'. So there. I'm going to keep searching for a paid job too, but volunteering can never look bad on a CV! I'm so excited about tomorrow!
Tonight we're off to Fairlight to see the meteor showers that are supposed to be happening! If we photo any, I promise to blog it as soon as possible! I hope we'll see something, and I'm rather excited. I don't care if I'm up late an there's work tomorrow. This is a rare opportunity! I'll take my warm fluffy blanket, and sit out in the pink tiger watching the sky over the sea...

Shaving Poor Peter!

Sorry I didn't blog back the other night. I've had a couple of really late nights, and couldn't really be bothered to blog. Plus, the glow-in-the-dark shapes don't photo well at all with my camera. So I'll blog about the resident dog, Peter. He's pathetic. A couple of days ago, we shaved him. Now he looks all funny, and acts really pathetic!

Still Decorating & Emptying Boxes...

So, nothing much has happened since my last post. I haven't really been bothered to come online to be honest. I've just been waking up late, having chilled out afternoons, and unpacking. Oh, and I did a little bit of gardening a couple of days ago. Plus, it's been nice seeing some friends I've missed from the last couple of times I came down. I'm still waiting on the mini wardrobe, as there's a whole box for my posh dresses. I have glow-in-the-dark shapes everywhere, and I'll photo them tonight when they're actually glowing. Aside from that, I'm going to have to get a proper bin, a new dog tag and update my passport. Mum should be sending my Total Annihilation: Kingdoms game and my black ink cartridges soon, so that's good. So I'll blog later tonight then!

Hastings Carnival & Hooe Classic Car Show 2012

It was Hastings Carnival yesterday. I found it much better than any of Sidmouth's attempts. They have so much more of a community here, so I should fit in fine. Just before the carnival, I went on a potter's wheel, which was fun. It's so funny to see people's faces when you want to get mucky in a nice dress!  I got a dinosaur balloon to watch the parade with, but couldn't take it back in the car, so I gave it to some little boy. Then in the evening, we watched the fireworks from the pink tiger. It was two years to the day.

Today, after dropping my mum off at the station, we went to Hooe Classic Car Show. As you can see, I couldn't resist being locked in a police van cell! More shiny cars that I want, but can't afford. Today is three years to the day.

The Official Unpacking!

Good morning! Sorry I haven't blogged again for a few days, I was too busy packing everything to move out!So yesterday evening, I officially moved to Hastings. My mum's staying with me for a couple of nights, to help me unpack, and to see here I'm staying. The photo is the current scene under my desk, and I still need more A4 boxes. The kitty collection is up, and I'm going to have to get another shelf, as there's no more room for any other kitties. The little sofa under the bed has no doubled up to be a bed for my mum, and even my cacti and ten-year-old stereo have survived the move! Plus, Hastings is so near to France that half my radio stations are French! It also doesn't help that I'm still unpacking! There are still a couple of crates to unpack though! Wish me luck!
